‘Simply a Slug’

Photography & Poetry by © Rona Campbell

Stalks, lovely stalks.

Through succulent slime
Pierce petals and leaves
As large as elephant ears.

A non-discriminating tongue.

Shoots, lovely shoots.

Humping along the Damp,
Tanking out luminous trails,
That my eye
Sips in the sun.

There cruised the thug of the underworld.
